It is imported daily, direct from Holland, and is all sourced and guaranteed under the 'Foundation for Quality Guarantee of the Veal Meat Sector' - or SKV for short. SKV is the only fully inspected veal system in place in Europe. It makes sure that all standards are maintained throughout the whole farm to slaughter process. This assures us that you can have full faith that all farms are inspected and high standards are being met - the feed that the animals are given, their movement between farms, and inspection before slaughter. Our suppliers practice Cattle Identification and Registration, which produces full traceability at any time through to dispatch to our customers. Due to the fact that we import all of our veal, it means that we can be confident that all of our standards are kept to the same high level. We will also be offering English Rose Veal in the future, once prospective suppliers have been inspected. |
